Below and don't forget that notification icon bell that's gonna ensure that you get the alerted whenever i create these trainings we're now on every other tuesday as we have been every tuesday but i'm going to be creating an incredible free lansing course for you and that's going to be for any type of freelancer not just excel so stay tuned for that that's going to be coming up if you do want to support this channel there's so many great ways to do that first you can do that with the 250 workbook pack that's 250 of my best templates all packed into a single zip file and that optionally comes with pdf downloads so you can study the code.
Learn it have your own templates and a complete library where you can single click to get into the workbook or single click to get to that individual training youtube so that's a great value and of course we also have the mentorship where i teach you how to define design deploy your own excel applications for passive income that's a great course 132 hour course i've got an express version now you can do it in just five months i'm gonna include the links down below all right let's get started on this training because i've got so much to share with you we're gonna go over an overview of the features of this and we're gonna get into the data how we created the original data and then what we're gonna do is we're gonna go into the individual features how we set this up.
Just as an overview of the application in itself this application the mini accounting application did come originally with a small dashboard but now we've built it out into this incredible dashboard where we can automatically see at just a quick glance all of your sales and purchase and profit estimates now this particular application where we created orders in this application and another training we created statements so now we've got all that combined so if we in this training we can add add new estimates work orders invoices and purchase orders right and all that each one of those comes with its own information messages and footer status and of course income.
Invoices come with payment amounts also we have purchases right so if we create a purchase order and we select a vendor here and then we select some items here oops let's get let's choose a vendor with the actual address information and then what we can do is just search items here add add some items we can set payment amounts so purchase orders and invoices have payment amounts while work orders and estimates do not okay if you want to search for an existing one you just search for an existing and then enters and you can see a previously created one so we're not going to get into a lot of detail that but what this does is it creates data for us and it's the data that we're going to be using today now that data comes into two different databases comes into.
The orders database which we're going to be used and that orders database basically has the order id the type remember i mentioned we've got work orders purchase orders and invoices and estimates we've got order date a status right the name either the customer the vendor name and employee terms a due date footer right payment if there's been a payment amount on an invoicer or on perhaps a purchase order an account if there's associated with it invoices have accounts associated purchases have accounts the total if there's a balance and then the day is overdue okay so that's the individual orders now each order has individual items notice this particular order has four different items so if we save that in invoice number 100 we see that invoice number 100 has four.
Different individual items right so if we take a look inside our order items database here actually this is the one that i wanted to look at we see that there's four different items associated with that ordered number invoice 100 right so those four items have to be stored somewhere and that's our invoice item database so we're going to be using that in our dashboard in this particular accounting application we also can create transactions right if we have specific expenses or income or something we can create individual transactions so we can do that here and also we see the transactions those transactions any type of transactions.
Whether it is an income or an expense type transactions we created here and those get saved into a database i just have a little bit of data here so we can see that transactions has a date a type name and account okay so we've got that information here of course we all have tables that are associated with that so this particular table is called transactions where the order item database here this one is called let's go ahead and drop this down we'll be using it a little bit it's called order items data and then we have this particular table called orders data so we're going to be using those three so what we're going to be doing to create our dashboard is we are going to take the combination of those and we're going to create some pivot tables and we have all those.
Pivot tables on a single sheet called pivot tables okay all right we also have items here just so we know we can create and add new items inventory items we won't be doing too much of that items can be purchased sold added on work orders or of course they can be added on invoices all right so we have a kind of an idea an overview we also have an admin screen with some setup information not much going on here and a home screen here so we got transactions in which you can quick to go back to home a dashboard which we're going to be going over going back to home inventory right and so that's kind of the overview and the order screen which we went over here so we have the ability to do we're going to focus course on this incredible dashboard today so this.

Dashboard is going to get its data from one of those three databases that i just mentioned to you that database is going to be combined into some pivot tables right we have several pivot tables we're going to go over we have totals by order here we're going to be going over this pivot to table we've got invoices by month in purchases by month and they're going to go all the way along here as we go through each one of them each one of them will help us create the dashboard that we have now the basic makeup of the dashboard is here i've got a i've got a background here color i've just got a background here color on some cells here so so if we show that right we say to show. That what we have is we want to be using the theme colors now because we're going to be changing the themes on a single click we want to make sure that all the colors that we're going to be using are within the theme colors now the theme colors are in this group of colors here right i want to make sure that when we change the themes if i change it to the green theme you see that if we select the background now it is going to be the same position notice this position here right it is the the sixth one the sixth column down right and the last item on the sixth column here and if we change it back to that blue screen blue theme we see it is going to be the same position just a different theme right so we see how the positions change but so we want all the colors that we want to use we want to make sure within the theme here as we change the theme now changing the theme.
