How to Create an ID Card in Word Microsoft Word Tutorials Word Hi and in today's microsoft word tutorial i'm going to be showing you how to make this credit card sized identity card in word so i've established that a credit card.
Is 8.5 centimeters by 5.5 centimeters so that's going to be the dimensions that we're going to use for this demonstration so the first thing i'm going to do is to.
Insert the rectangle to give us a guide to put in the rest of the information this is just a screenshot of the identity card that we're going to copy.
So we'll go ahead and just now insert the shape so i'm going to go up to the insert tab along to shapes click on the drop down and insert.
This square you can go down to rectangles here and find it here then all i'm going to do is just quickly click and drag once we've done that we're just going to.
Clear the center of this and make it white and make the border black make sure you've highlighted your shape and you've got the squares around the perimeter go up to.
That your outline is black when i click off that you can see that we've got a nice black outline so we've got a guide as to where we want the edges of our card to be.
To ensure that we've got the correct dimensions if you just click on the shape and highlight it make sure again you're on shape format go along to this section here.
So in the top one which is the height i'm going to put 5.5 and in the lower one which is the width i'm going to put 8.5 and press enter.
And there you have your exact shape that you will need to create a credit card size identification card the next thing we're going to do is just put in.
The background which is this world map if i just extend that the background is like a world map that's slightly faded so we're just going to pop that in next.
- Id Card Maker In Excel (Pro).
- Carteirinhas no canva (Grátis).
- Planilha Excel de Fluxo de Caixa Grátis.
So the way in which we do that is to Wesdigital
Quickly hop on the internet type in pixabay click on pixabay and then just type into the search.Engine world map and then press enter then go up to this drop down section here and just click on vector graphics so i think i.
Chose this one this one here so click on the map of your choice and then just click free download and then it will download to your.
Download folder once you've done that if you go to insert picture picture from file and in my downloads i've got a file here.
Called triangles and it's a png now it needs to be a png for the background to be completely clear you can import a white one if you want to or indeed a colored one but if you just.
Want the world map itself without anything behind it like a color you need it to be a png file so click on the file and then just click.
Insert and then we need to just resize this image so we're just going to pull it down and again.
If it doesn't move it's because you need to sort the wrapping out so highlight the image right click go down to wrap text and select from one of these i generally choose in front of.
Text because it just makes it a lot easier to move around and now if you grab the side and pull it so that it fits then if you want this to.
Go down to the bottom
Then you can just pull back down and you can just pull that bit up to the top completely up to you and then just click ok now the one thing. To note with this shape is sometimes it can get in the way when you're trying to click on various things within the identification card if you have problems sometimes you need to send.
Things to the back so just highlight the world map go up to picture format go down to send backwards and click center back.
And that way you have standard chance of being able to select this shape there we go sometimes you need to just grab the shape and move it out the way.
Then carry on with editing your id card and then you can pop the shape back to make sure your dimensions are correct at the end so we'll just leave it there for a.
Minute you can move it up with your arrow keys not quite right now we're just going to sort out the transparency of this world map so you can see now that when i.
Try to click on the world map i can't because it's hidden behind this shape so i'm going to move the shape up away click on my world map go up to picture format.
And along to transparency click on the drop down and then you can select from any of these different transparencies and just make that world map a little.
Less prominent and you can reduce it as much as you like i think that's the one i used it might be one.
More down probably about that perfect so now we're just going to put the border back over so that we can just put in the top shape.
So the next thing to do is i'm going to insert these purple shapes on the top and the corner so i'm going to go up to insert shape click on the drop down i'm going.
To use this shape here which i believe is further down here it's in flow chart so click on the shape and all you need to do is click and drag you don't have to be too accurate.
Because you can obviously adjust these shapes there we go and now we'll just adjust the color so make sure your shape is highlighted.
Make sure you're on shape format and along to these fill and border sections here i'm going to take the border off my shape so i'm going to click on shape outline.
And click no border then i'm going to go along to shape fill click on the drop down and then you've got a variety of colors to choose from here.
You've also got more colors which is here so you can click on that then you have your color wheel you have a number of different options along the top here.
But you've also got this eyedropper tool here which is incredibly useful so you can click on the eyedropper tool and then you can click anywhere around your screen and onto the.
Id card so if there's a color that you've seen on the internet that you really like take a screenshot import it like i've.
Done here like a like an image and then you can just put this circle over the top of it select the color which will appear in this box here.
And then you color match something that you've seen on the internet once we've done that we've now got that color saved into our recents so we can go ahead and pop these two triangles in.
All of this can be adjusted so if it's not quite right now don't worry we can always come back so go to insert shape and again i'm going to choose this right.
Angled triangle here which is down in basic shapes so again with this one i'm just going to click and drag outside now the important thing to remember with.
These shapes is that if you pull and drag the proportions of it will change so what you need to do is hold down the shift key you hold down the shift key.
You'll get a perfect right angled triangle and we need that to ensure that the lines are correct on these two shapes here.
So once you've done that turn the shape around and then we can pop it into our card now again we're going to change the colors of this so again make sure you're.
On shape format along to the outline no outline and shape fill now because the purple is now highlighted under the bucket you can simply click.
On that shape and it will turn it to that color you don't have to go back in look on the drop down etc etc to create the smaller triangle all we're going to do is copy and paste this one.
We're just going to pull it to one side holding down the shift key we're just going to click and drag and reduce the size of it and then we're going to move that over.
The top of our other triangle we're going to go ahead again and change the color and this time we're going to go to shape field click on the drop down.
